Her current work is with executives in commercial organisations and external consultant-coaches. She has an MSc in Change Agent Skills and Strategies, and is a Master Practitioner in NLP. During 2006 she completed her Diploma in Supervision at the Metanoia Institute, London.
Alison finds that her tai ji and meditation practice is a vital ingredient to her ongoing wellbeing and development, and regularly attends workshops and retreats to support this. She is an assessor for their accreditation process and offers telesupervision to members.
She is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and the British Psychological Society, and actively participates in their Special Group in Coaching Psychology.
With her extensive hands-on experience, professional skills and academic underpinning, she offers a passion and enthusiasm for professional development that is inspiring and effective. Experience
Since graduating in Australia in 1971, Alison started her commercial career in the UK in business magazine publishing, where she worked for 13 years, including time at Haymarket Publishing and United Trade Press. Latterly she became Publisher, responsible for teams of up to 60 people, and Head of Training.
In May 1985, Alison established her own company, Alison Hodge Associates, providing sales and management development and consultancy, initially in the publishing industry. This then extended to organisations across and beyond the communications industry.
Alison has continued to apply her selling and consultancy skills, learnt how to run a business, and directly managed a team of up to 10 consultants. She has extensive experience of developing training and workshop material, content and methods of delivery, and enjoys helping others to do the same.
Throughout this time she has maintained a portfolio of organisational client projects, ranging from developing skills-based training to group and team facilitation, corporate systems evaluation and one-to-one coaching at all levels of management.
